44 Ranch Playground Project
February 2018 - PRESENT
The 44 Ranch neighborhood has developed a Park Committee to advocate and raise funds for the development of the neighborhood park located at 2503 Riata Rd.
Missoula Parks and Recreation selected the 44 Ranch Park for the location of a donated playground structure from Spectrum Aquatics that honors an employee who had passed away. The playground structure is valued at $44,000. Missoula Parks and Recreation matched $30,000 for installation costs and fall zone material (wood chips).
Missoula Parks and Recreation, The City of Missoula and the 44 Ranch Neighborhood Park Committee are raising funds for additional items of playground equipment to create a more complete play value for the neighborhood children.
The additional playground equipment is estimated to cost $40,000 and an additional $10,000 needed for installation/labor. The 44 Ranch Neighborhood Park Committee’s goal is to raise $20,000 toward these costs.
